BAI XIAOMO, Chinese algorithm artist, new media artist, electronic musician, programmer, Asian Digital Art Award winner. Currently, he is the deputy dean of the School of Experimental Art of Sichuan Conservatory of Music, the deputy director of the Sichuan Provincial Key Laboratory of Digital Media Art, guest professor at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, the executive vice chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Music Industry Association, the standing committee member of the Computational Arts Branch of the China Computer Federation, and an art and artificial intelligence expert of the China Artificial Intelligence Society Committee member, director of the China Electronic Music Society, and expert member of the Sound Art Working Committee of the China Film Association. He uses computers as tools to develop software programs, using data and algorithms to generate music, sounds and images, or generate computer instructions to control lights, motors, robotic arms, Tesla coils and other devices to create cross-media interactive art works. Bai Xiaomo’s creative works are diverse, covering chamber music, electronic music, audio-visual live performances, music installations, sound installations, video installations, lighting installations, electronic installations, mechanical installations, immersive spaces and archival inkjet print.
